The British Council

The British Council (BC) is an official government funded organisation dedicated to marketing British interests in other countries and it is the major accreditation body for language schools in the UK. BC recognised schools have to be inspected every three years, with the schools paying for the inspection. The inspection covers Management and Administration, Premises, Resources, Academic Management, Professional Qualifications, Teaching and Welfare.
