Central England

Central England, often marketed as The Heart of England, is dominated by large cities: Birmingham, Stoke, Nottingham, Derby, Coventry, and Leicester. This area is also known as the Midlands or the Black Country. The area also has the small village of Ironbridge, known as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and well worth an education based visit. Beyond the city giants, there is the town of Stratford - home to William Shakespeare, Warwick - with its brilliantly preserved castle, and the Derbyshire Peak District - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
