The business district of the Docklands is located in East London whilst the fashionable areas including Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Fulham, Chiswick, Richmond, Camden and Hampstead can be found in West and North London. The historic "village" of Greenwich, home to the Royal Observatory and Greenwich Mean Time is located across the River Thames in South London. |

buildings including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul's
Cathedral. London is excellent for shopping - the busy Oxford Street is
the main shopping street where Selfridges can be found. Harrods and Harvey
Nichols are also close by in Knightsbridge. The fashionable Covent Garden
has small boutiques and a trendy street market can be found in
Camden. London has a large number of sport centres and swimming pools. The famous Wimbledon tennis championship takes place in June.
