Description
|
Ramsgate is a picturesque seaside town with many fine Georgian buildings.
Ramsgate is also a busy ferry port with a hovercraft terminal for the ferry
to France. The Royal Harbour and Marina is a popular tourist attraction. The
area around the Royal Harbour has many cafes, bars and restaurants and the
pedestrianised shopping centre lies 2 minutes walk away

the town and surrounding area including swimming pool, fitness centre, and
golf courses. Ramsgate is a good base for sea fishing and windsurfing. The

The surrounding countryside is famous for its apple and cherry orchards and
picturesque villages. The pretty fishing village of Broadstairs and the
seaside resort of Margate with its beaches and amusements is close by. Leeds
Castle, the historic city of Canterbury and the medieval town of Sandwich
are within easy reach
