Each month, we feature a School of the Month - here's a list of schools recommended in the last 6 months.

School of the Month September 2005 - Sheffield College September 2005 - The Sheffield College
"The Sheffield College is a member of English UK which helps ensure consistently high quality across all our courses. Students learn English in international groups with experienced teachers and classes range from elementary to advanced levels.

English courses run throughout the year and students can enrol for one year, two terms, one term or just a few weeks as required. On arrival, students are given an assessment test and placed in a group best suited to their needs. Special programmes can also be designed for groups or individuals.

Students can use the Learning Centres and take part in a range of sports and social activities. They may also join mainstream courses such as Business Studies, Languages, AS Advanced and GCSEs.

General english classes take place each morning and in the afternoon. Students will attend skill based classes for example: writing, IELTS preparation and exam practice. Students will also be able to opt to attend Business English, one-to-one speaking practice and internet sessions."

It's a beautiful traditional campus with extensive private gardens, providing an ideal relaxing environment to improve your English or study for IELTS or other exam courses. You can focus on your studies and still have plenty of time to discover one of the most interesting, vibrant cities in the world. London has it all — theater, fashion, arts, history, and sports. With the world- famous underground train system, you'll be moments away from some of the most historical buildings in the world: Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London.
