THE SCHOOL
English [Out There!] or EOT, is truly unique, and much more than just a language course. It is the first English course that involves real exploration in every session and is great for tourists who are looking for something different and rewarding to do whilst they are in London.
EOT is based in the heart of London, next to the British Museum and just minutes from Soho. More than 2,000 people have experienced our course since July 2001. Feedback tells us that 94% would recommend us to a friend. The school itself is small and very friendly with easy access to all teachers and staff. Since we use London as our ‘second classroom’ we do not have a language laboratory, café or library but we do have free broadband Internet access. EOT is not like any other language schools and you will understand why when you try one of our classes.
We only teach one course: English [Out There!] – at six different levels. If we described the course in conventional terms it would be ‘General English, with an emphasis on improving speaking and listening skills, but fast’. However, this description is too simplistic because EOT is ideal for all types of language learners and is designed to really boost confidence and motivation levels by providing real experiences of success in every single class. The result is that your communicative abilities improve quickly, but you will also get to read and write in every lesson. Every 3-hour session involves you learning some new language in the classroom and then using it immediately in real places, [Out There!]. We use famous shops, museums, and parks, in fact anything that is free and fits with what we want to do. And all with your teacher right next to you, guiding and helping. As each session has a clear and achievable linguistic aim you can book just one or two sessions, learn some new language, use it with native speakers, see some of London at the same time and then leave… knowing that you have successfully learnt some new English.

It’s all there, anything you want, just explore! However, so that everyone at EOT gets to meet each other, we organise social evenings on Wednesdays and Fridays that are attended by students, staff and friends of the school. We know London really well and like to go to the less well-known places to have a good time!
